Some words written in 2016 and 2017;

A good encounter

Along
walks and words
through our worlds of
memories;
Bill's hug.

Begin again

Begin;
as an end
it starts again
while we say
never
again;

chance is still
waiting for
us to live
(again).

My white

Today
I was born.
I was told it
was cold like
today
I was born.
I was told I
was born like
today.

It snows —
my hair, like
the soil, observes
the white; it
does not
absorb it.

I wish I could
stand on this
planet
like these flakes
stand still on my
hair (and melt
only
by the warmth
of you, my sun) —
and preserve
my white.

Iannone

I have
just booked a
flight to go to
Iceland. This
is a

test; I
will try, then,
to freeze my brain
for a while.
Maybe

I will
"begin to
feel free" like Iannone
did when she
was there.

The Great Art of Failure - part of Set, three poems re-composed by Lynette Quek

Learn how to fail -
forgive yourself,
collect the pieces
left of you.
Think slowly,
and breath in
spring.
Re-invent ways
for failing again:
trip over stones,
walk backwards,
run with no control,
keep your eyes
wide open
in the wind
and underwater.
Find new ways for:
being
walking
having a face
doing
making
playing
and failing
(again).

TormalinaQuarzoSenza sé, senza se from a set of seven poems commissioned by Roger Marsh for Gaia's Songs, performed in May 2017 by Angelica Cathariou and Damien Harron.

Striata di passato                                      Striped with the past
e colori                                                      and colours
e sale                                                         and salt

Quarzo                                                     Quarz

Radio.                                                       Radio.

Fruscii di memoria,                                  Rustles of memory,
di calore e vento,                                    of warmth and wind,
e di vele che                                            and of sails which
mi riportano lì.                                         drag me here.

Scirocco.                                                 Scirocco.

Sciami di capelli                                     Swarms of hair
frustano l'aria;                                         whip the air;
confondono e                                         confusing and
distraggono l'olfatto                               distracting from the smell
dalle ginestre.                                         of broom.

Radio.                                                      Radio.

Fruscii sottovoce                                    Whispering rustles
alleviano l'insonnia.                                soothe insomnia.

Le vele,                                                   Those sails,
ora,                                                          now,
diventano nuvole.                                   become clouds.

Ancora scirocco.                                     Again Scirocco.

Senza sé, senza se                                Without Self, without if

Senza sé,                                                Without Self,
si dona il mondo,                                    you give the world,
si donano organi.                                    you give organs.
Senza se,                                                Without If,
si divora il mondo,                                  you devour the world,
si divorano organi.                                  you devour organs.
Senza sé e se,                                        Without Self and If,
il mondo si dona e divora,                      the world gives itself and devours,
e l'acqua si scioglie sulle forme.            and water expands on forms.
